Blog Post 2: Reflections on my current and desired online presence

Hello!

Since my last blog post, I have made a website. I was actually very happy with how my website turned out. I included information similar to what I would include on a resume such as my job and education history, and I also typed about some stuff I am interested in or have accomplished. So yes, it's a significantly prettier and more personal resume! At first I wasn't too excited to make a website, but it was fun to figure out while getting more comfortable with talking about myself.

I even made a Twitter to go along with the website! I didn't realize so many people used Twitter just to keep up on news in their fields of interest and network with others. I avoided making a Twitter before because I thought "well, I never post statuses on Facebook, so why would I use a platform that is literally just about making statuses?" Well, it's NOT just about making statuses! Now I get to see news about cyber security, biology, hiking, gaming, and tweets from authors I love all in one place, and all while avoiding news about politics! AND I don't ever have to make my own Tweets!

It feels good getting this stuff set up now, because gosh knows I'm going to have a lot of other stuff to stress about after I graduate and start looking for jobs. I'm looking forward to getting a LinkedIn set up so that's one more thing to check off!
