S-Stem Scholar Kathleen Corfman's Blog

This week we made media, then inoculated the flasks with the bacteria that didn’t show up on the gels, and then put the flasks in the incubator.  We also got to learn fluorescent microscopy, which was super cool! We had 3 groups. I was group 3, and we did DAPI and CF488 which is a green. 

Gels and more gels. And also gels.  Oh and we made media on Tuesday, and talked about a game plan for what’s coming. Which I got a little lost with because I came into the conversation a bit late, but I’ll figure out what we’re doing as we go.
